Tactical real-time strategy (RTS) developed by Eugen Systems, the studio behind the Wargame series and the R.U.S.E strategy. This new game puts under your command detailed and historically accurate tanks, infantry troops and other military equipment on the battlefields of World War II. Players can pit their tactical talents against other players in massive multiplayer battles or go up against computer opponents in a challenging single-player campaign.

Steel Division: Normandy 44 puts you in command of legendary combat units from six different countries, including the US 101st Airborne Division, the German 12th Armored Division and the Canadian 3rd Division during the 1944 Normandy landings.

• Command over 400 historically accurate combat units. Whether you´re fighting in intense 10v10 multiplayer battles, playing through the single-player campaign, or taking on friends in ranked matches, you´ll have historically accurate tanks, infantry units, aircraft, and support forces at your disposal.
• Real tactics. Battles take place over three distinct phases, with different units becoming available at specific times, simulating the movements of real armies and adding variety to the ever-changing theater of war. The dynamic front line illustrates the progress of the battle. Pin down enemy infantry to gain an advantage in battle and force the enemy´s retreat, or set a trap and lure the enemy into it.
• Real world. Using the latest version of the IRISZOOM engine, players can seamlessly transition from a tactical bird´s-eye view to an up-close look at each individual combat unit, and get an up-close look at 400 different real-life vehicles and infantry units created with the utmost care and authenticity. The game´s maps were recreated using real aerial reconnaissance footage from Normandy in 1944.
• Anticipate, outwit, outperform! From preparing a battle group to troop positioning and maneuvers, winning a battle requires cunning and strategy, not just firepower. Each unit lost in battle will weaken your position, and you will have to try to keep the momentum of the battle.
