Supplement "Finland: Winter Storm" is based on the Soviet offensive against Finland during and after the Winter War - until the Vyborg-Petrozavodsk operation in 1944 - and tells about the most significant clashes between the Soviet and Finnish troops during World War II. Play as the Finns and face off against overwhelming enemy forces, or play as the Soviet Union and crush Finland´s last lines of defense in the cold northern winter landscape.
• Sudden Strike 4 - "Finland: Winter Storm" offers two small campaigns with six new missions based on the Soviet offensive against Finland during and after the Winter War - up to the Vyborg-Petrozavodsk operation in 1944.
• In the Soviet campaign you must capture the village of Suomussalmi, defend the railway leading to Murmansk from the combined forces of Germany and Finland, and break through the Finnish defense lines during the Vyborg-Petrozavodsk operation. In the Finnish campaign, you must recapture and hold the village of Suomussalmi, while stopping the Soviet reinforcements, reclaim the Lahde sector and hold the last line of defense in the battle of Tali Ihantala.
• Three new commanders - three new doctrines: Finnish artillery expert Vilho Peter Nenonen, Finnish general of armored forces Ruben Lagus and famous general Karl Lennart Ash - each offers a tactical approach to each mission.
• 19 completely new pieces of equipment, including new emergency vehicles, Soviet tanks KV-1 and BT-7M, as well as Finnish Stug III G and Flak 36.
