´Fading Embers´ is the third installment of This War of Mine: Stories. In this episode, you have to learn the story of Ani, which will not leave anyone indifferent. The heavy burden of choice falls on the shoulders of the girl from the war zone: she must decide for herself which is more important - the preservation of the cultural heritage or the life of an individual.
The supplement contains new locations in and around Pogoren, new habitable shelters, improved locations from the original game, new playable characters and Pogoren residents. But the most important thing about ´Fading Embers´ is a new non-linear storytelling with multiple endings that depend on the player´s decisions. Since the plot is centered on the preservation of cultural heritage, the new gameplay mechanics include collecting art, deciding their fate and much more.
