Sid Meier´s Starships is a global turn-based strategy game. The game will not formally be part of the "Civilization" series, the action will unfold in the same fictional universe as "Sid Meier´s Civilization: Beyond Earth". The player, controlling a fleet of spaceships, will explore the galaxy, encounter other human and alien forces, solve problems through military, diplomatic and other strategic methods. It will also be possible to modify the ships of the fleet at your discretion in order to achieve a particular goal.

• Tactical space combat: choose unique tactics for each mission as maps, victory conditions and enemies are dynamically generated.
• Complete freedom in ship design: design your own starships using the modular design system.
• Diplomacy, strategy and research: expand the sphere of influence of your Federation and win the trust of the inhabitants of distant planets.
• Use the unique features of each of the newfound planets to strengthen your stellar armada and plug your enemies into the belt. Develop the conquered worlds to boost the economy and empower your Federation.
• A galaxy full of adventure: Explore the surrounding galaxy by sending a fleet into its darkest corners and helping the inhabitants

Activation

1. You need to download and install Steam http://steampowered.com/download/SteamInstall.msi (if not already installed)
2. Launch the Steam client
3. Create a new account on Steam or go to an existing one
4. Go to the "Games" section and select "Activate on Steam"
5. Enter the activation key you purchased
6. After that, the game will appear in your list of games and you can install it
