The ongoing fighting on the streets of Tarkov caused mass panic among the population, filling the roads leading out of it with refugees. There were, however, among the local residents those who decided to stay, seeing in the situation that arose an opportunity to profit at someone else’s expense. Having accepted the new realities as a given, disorganized loners from among the inhabitants of Tarkov - the Wild - began to flock into well-armed gangs, fighting with each other for the redivision of the city. Today, all of Tarkov is delimited by invisible lines into zones of influence of various groups. In their thirst for profit, armed bandits will stop at nothing; they are not afraid of either the killing of civilians or direct clashes with two private military companies.
