Story mode.

The Viking High King is killed and his horn is stolen by a man named Hagen. This event launches a saga in which Rig, the king´s son and heir, accompanied by his faithful assistant Brand, will go to an uncharted land - Nordgard - to find out the cause of his father´s death.

With the Northgard: Vidar´s Cross expansion, the game will feature a new campaign set in a completely new land - the southern kingdoms. This expansion will also add a new people that Nordgard did not know before - the inhabitants of the kingdom of Neustria
