Two games — "Monkey Islnad" and "Over the Garden Wall" — collide on the edge of a gloomy forest somewhere in Sweden. In this cozy little point-and-click fairy tale, you play as a dwarf on an abandoned farm. You have a purpose in life when people move back into the house above you. However, now you need to try even harder, as you will have to fight with a dark creature that lives in the forest nearby. You will have to ask for help from fabulous creatures. Only every help has a price... The game draws heavily on Swedish folklore, with illustrations influenced by artists such as John Bauer and Alvaro Tapia. The narrative is connected with solving riddles and puzzles, and at the end you will find several endings. The game is perfectly complemented by authentic music and voice dubbing. You will not only get acquainted with folklore, but also learn a little about the history of Sweden, as the events in the game take place in the XIX century - at that time more than a million people left the country due to hunger and in search of a better place to live. Only one person worked on the game for six months, and the composer wrote a good musical accompaniment. If you loved atmospheric stories and fairy tales as a child, you will definitely enjoy this game.
