WELCOME TO EUROPE
Barotrauma is a multiplayer 2D submarine simulator in the survival horror genre. Its creation was influenced by games such as FTL: Faster Than Light, RimWorld, Dwarf Fortress and Space Station 13. This sci-fi game is a combination of "rag doll" physics, alien monsters living under water, teamwork and all-consuming fear.

LOOK INTO THE ABYSS
In the not-so-distant future, people went to Jupiter´s moon. Its radioactive surface is covered with ice, so life exists only in the ocean. Travel through the harsh underwater world, making friends or enemies with four local factions. Find out what is hidden in the depths of Europe.

HELP YOUR FRIENDS SURVIVE OR MAKE SURE NO ONE SURVIVES
In Barotrauma, there are many ways to have fun, but just as many ways to die. Work together with your team to achieve goals, or prepare for betrayal if there is a traitor on board. Play together with friends, strangers or worst enemies.

EXPLORE, MANAGE, COMMUNICATE
Travel underwater, perform missions of the last representatives of humanity, explore the ruins of an alien civilization, fight with monsters or run away from them. Control complex onboard systems such as sonar, nuclear reactor, weapons, engines and pumps. Communication plays a primary role!

EXPERIMENT, MAKE, CREATE
Set up complex on-board wiring, a complex manufacturing system and a honey compartment. With the help of built-in editors, create your own submarines and monsters that can compete with ordinary ones. You can even penetrate our program code and change everything.

FEATURES
◼️ It´s better to play in online mode - gather from 2 to 16 players on a submarine. The number of players can be increased due to bots. Single-user mode is also available and will be developed further.
◼️ 6 classes of players with different skills and tasks: captain, engineer, mechanic, doctor, security officer and assistant.
◼️ Procedurally generated map and missions, as well as several game modes will keep you playing this game again and again.
◼️ Built-in editors for submarine, character and procedurally generated animation. Find mods and share them directly in the Steam Workshop.
◼️ All data is presented in XML format, and the program code is publicly available on GitHub.
