Description:
The Hudson Line is one of the most famous, bustling and scenic railway lines in America - and now it´s about Train Simulator. Packed with Metro-North commuter trains, Amtrak intercity passenger trains, and CSX freight trains, Hudson Line Train Simulator is full of railroad challenges. The Hudson Line Train Simulator route stretches along the east bank of the famous Hudson River from New York City to Croton Harmon, New York, and performs three functions: It is a busy commuter route of the Metro-North Hudson Line; it is the southern end of the Empire Amtrak corridor, home to Empire intercity trains, Amtrak Service, and long-distance trains such as Lake Shore Limited, Maple Leaf, and Adirondack; and it is CSX´s Hudson division, providing freight service in the Bronx and New York City. In history and legend, this line was part of the legendary "Water Level Route" of Central New York and the 20th Century Limited Way. The Hudson Line in Train Simulator includes both of New York´s great stations - Penn Station and the classic Grand Central Station, and then stretches north along the wide Hudson River to Metro-North stores and CSX yards in Croton Harmon, New York. The route also includes Amtrak´s West Side Empire Connection, the Park Avenue Metro main line North from Grand Central Station, the CSX Oak Point Link freight route and the Harlem River and Oak Point Yards, as well as a section of Amtrak´s Northeast Corridor from the Bronx over Hell´s Gate. The bridge to Sunnyside Yard and Penn Station. Overall, the Train Simulator Hudson Line route includes more than 20 stations and provides about 60 miles of intense and exciting railway service in the Big Apple region. The Hudson Line from Grand Central Station to Croton Harmon is electrified via a DC third rail and is witnessing huge volumes of Metro-North traffic, with its workhorse being the vibrant blue and silver electric M-7A MNCR multichannel motors as shown along with the route. The M-7A Metro-North route features a genuine variety of locomotives and equipment, including MNCR and Amtrak P32AC-DM passenger locomotives, CSX SD40-2 and 3GS-21B GenSet freight locomotives, Amtrak Amfleet passenger cars, and Metro-North Shoreliner commuter cars. Hudson Line Train Simulator offers dynamic and challenging American commuter, passenger and freight railroads at their best.
