Black Future ’88 is a 2D roguelike/action shooter in the synthpunk genre. Climb a shifting tower to kill its maddened master before... your heart explodes. Shoot, hack, dash, and master skills to defeat waves of deadly traps, killer robots, and giant overseers in an alternate 1988.

The world is shaking from a nuclear cataclysm, led by Duncan, the architect of the tower. He dropped the first bomb in the summer of 1988, and by December there were too many to count. After that, we stopped counting time, and so for us it is still 1988. Most of the survivors of the first attack will die in the deadly floods that followed. These are the times after: here there are no months or weeks - there are only minutes separating you from death.

Take on the role of one of the survivors and hack your way to the top of the tower to deal with the architect and stop the endless rain of nuclear bombs. Climb to die. Die to survive.
