In Subterrain, you will play as Doctor West, apparently the only survivor in an underground city on Mars. Fight, survive, flee, or do whatever you think is necessary among limited resources and ruthless enemies. Your worst enemy will be your own carelessness... The game focuses on four main game mechanics.

Every decision you make can be critical. Remember, time waits for no one.

SURVIVAL
◼️ Fight against survival needs such as: Thirst, Hunger, Sleep, and Nature´s needs.
◼️ Beware of conditions such as: Infection, Bleeding, Fractures, Exhaustion, and Hypothermia.
◼️ Collect materials and conduct research on objects to produce medical supplies.
◼️ Feel the mortal pain of suffocation.

COMBAT
◼️ Fight for your life with melee and ranged weapons.
◼️ Customize your firearms with a progressive modular system.
◼️ Race against time as you simulate the spread of infection across the entire Mars colony.
◼️ Mutants will evolve over time, so destroy them while they are still in the cocoon stage!
◼️ Fiercely defend the generator at all costs or die fighting against the mutant invasion.

CRAFT
◼️ Create survival items or another weapon of mass destruction using the 3D printer and Bioconnector
◼️ Recycle useless junk into more valuable materials for crafting.
◼️ Mine rare ore or grow vegetables using the mine or farm. Process them to obtain rarer materials.
◼️ Gain access to advanced items through research. Create your own laser sword!

EXPLORATION
◼️ Explore randomly generated sublevels as well as handcrafted ones.
◼️ Explore the terrain with a non-linear storytelling.
◼️ Walk through an open world where only you decide where to go next.
◼️ Restore the colony´s viability by repairing oxygen and temperature generators.
◼️ Find clues to escape from all this horror!

GAME SETTING:
It took a little longer than expected, but by 2050, humanity has finally colonized Mars. The man in charge is an entrepreneur named Jeff Murray. Instead of living on the surface of Mars, humans have built their homes underground. The city and all its outbuildings are buried deep, safe from the harsh conditions of the planet´s surface.

Dr. West has recently arrived on Mars at the personal invitation of Jeff Murray. He is working on important research that he hopes will lead to a cure for the Alzheimer´s disease that has stricken his wife. After an accident in his lab, West is jailed for murder. In a cold, dark cell with no food or water, survival begins...
