The amazing landscapes of the Reinland-Palatz area are waiting for you in this new route for Train Simulator.
This 96-kilometer route connects the 4th largest city of Germany Cologne with Koblents, one of the oldest cities in the country. Most of the route runs along the west bank of the Rhine, which gives passengers a great opportunity to enjoy the exciting views of this area of West Germany.
The first part of the line was opened on February 15, 1844, and was a section of Bonn - ST Pantaleon (former main station Cologne). In the period from 1856 to 1859, the route was extended to the Central Station of Cologne.
Koblenz is an important transplanting station for trains following the south to Mainz and France, while Cologne is a station with a daily passenger flow of more than 280,000 people, which has local, national and international significance. Around the middle of the route, there is Bonn, the former capital of East Germany, from where ICE trains go to all corners of the country.
The southern part of the RE5 ‘Rhein Express’ train route runs along Deutsche Bahn, which runs between the cities of Emmerich and Koblenz. In addition to Intercity and ICE trains, following the clock intervals, suburban regio trains, as well as many freight trains, work on the line. Among this lively traffic, even historical museum trains can be found.
Passengers moving between two large cities of Köln and Koblenz have the opportunity to see medieval buildings and fortresses located along the route, slowly sailing river barges, large cargo parks of Bruhl and Bonn-West stations, as well as the famous DB museum at Koblenz-Lützel, located in the former depot of non The main move of the route.
The route also includes the DB BR 146.0 electric locomotive and two -story (German Doppelstock) train wagons Re5 ‘Rhine Express’. In addition, the DB BR 294 diesel locomotive is included in the package, as well as the DB BR 101 electric locomotive with passenger.
