Studio lighting technique for photography

With this book, I want to provide ideas for both your practice sessions and your paid projects. I hope you will read each chapter with that same attitude: read, play, and learn. I am sure you will find your toolbox significantly enriched.
However, before you begin, you should be familiar with the basics of digital photography and have some choices in mind. For beginners, Part 1 will introduce you to the things you will need to understand by the end of your career—hopefully by then, retired to your own private tropical island somewhere in the middle of an archipelago not served by major airlines. There are countless reference books written by great photographers, each of which devotes an entire volume to explaining the intricacies. I only have space to write about a few principles; principles that are undoubtedly important but never exhaustive. So I encourage you to read as many other sources as you can.
