You play as a girl named Yaga (later revealed to be 16 years old). She has been banished from her village after being accused of witchcraft. Now she ventures into the forest to find her missing sister, Zora, and to uncover why other children in the area are vanishing. As the story unfolds, it becomes clear that everyone who disappeared had once wronged Yaga herself. She is aided on her journey by colorful characters: a mystical Black Cat (who serves as the narrator) and a Voice inside her head. Overall, it is a story of coming of age and making difficult choices.

Open world. It is divided into several zones, each associated with a specific season.

Archery. This is the primary method for combat and solving certain puzzles. There are various types of arrows: standard, bee arrows (which slow down enemies), and crystal arrows (which fire projectiles that can be accumulated and then detonated).

Crafting and survival. You must gather resources (feathers, branches, honey, potion ingredients), hunt animals, and cook food.

Progression. Skills are unlocked via pages found in the world (in chests or as quest rewards) and by mixing ingredients in the cauldron inside Yaga’s hut.

Moral choices. You can lean towards the "light" or "dark" path. This affects how certain characters perceive you, unlocks specific skills, and alters certain mechanics.

Unique moments: occasionally, the narrative is interrupted by the heroine´s flashbacks, transforming the game into a 2.5D platformer. There is also a broomstick: you can stick it into the ground to distract enemies while you pick them off with your bow.
